The Mascot, Rosebery and Eastlakes catchment area is within the City of Botany Bay and includes the suburbs Mascot, Rosebery and Eastlakes. The area comprises a mix of residential and commercial developments together with areas of open space including Mascot Part and Mascot Public School. The catchment is divided roughly by Botany Road with the Mascot catchment to the west and the Rosebery and Eastlakes catchment to the east. The Mascot catchment itself is divided in the centre by the SWSOOS which separates overland flow. The western side of the catchment is part of the Cooks River catchment and drains to the Alexandra Canal. The eastern side falls north to south and drains to Botany Bay.
Drainage elements in the catchment include kerbs and gutters, pits and pipes, and a network of trunk drainage elements including culverts and open channels. Ownership of the assets is divided between SWC and Council, with SWC owning the trunk elements.
